Daisy the hedgehog

So I had the wonderful chance to try out a new pattern by Jennifer Jangles this past week. I love trying new sewing patterns especially sweet little plush animal ones!  I made Daisy, a sweet hedgehog about the size of a football.

Jennifer Jangles creates very playful designs that make you happy every time you look at them, from funky pincushions to adorable quilts. She also designs whimsical fabric that is so colorful and fun it’s hard to resist! She was so sweet to let me test out her new pattern.
Now on to Daisy!

I thought this pattern was adorable and while looking through my stash fabric I decided to use my new stack of Doe by Carolyn Friedlander.  The spikey patterns worked great for Daisy’s body.  I chose the simple white for her face and a blue and mustard yellow for her spikes.  I think she turned out pretty cute:)

Now she’s really spikey:)

The pattern was easy to follow and with great pictures, which is a major plus! I used quite a lot of pins but everything stayed in place while I stitched her up.

Daisy the Hedgehog

I love a fast and fun project that you can whip up and see the results right away.  I was able to keep Daisy safe while taking pictures and admiring her but she now resides in my daughter’s room.  I would be happy to make her a whole family of hedgehogs:)
